Southern History Framed Art Picture
by Amelia Clark
18 x 24 Limited Edition
Southern History is a 12 x 18 image size limited edition print representing the past historical events of the Southern United States.  The Confederate Flag back drop twists and turns to symbolize the progressive and sometimes violent turn of events that have molded the bountiful events of the Southern States.  The Flag also represents the strong heritage of the South that was born long before the War Between the States and strengthened because of it.  The Eleven dogwood blossoms depict each southern state that the Confederacy touched.  The many sizes and stages of emergence show the distinct development of each state.  The dogwood blossom is also the Biblical symbol of overcoming all odds while maintaining beauty and strength.  The Bible rests boldly among the blossoms and flag exhibiting the life blood of the Southern States and flag exhibiting the life blood of the Southern Culture.
